We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic team within a leading financial services client based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile full-stack developer with strong backend skills and cloud-based data engineering exposure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack Java applications using the Spring framework and modern functional programming techniques.
• Work with complex datasets and ensure robust data processing using SQL (Oracle, Azure SQL, Postgres) and Databricks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions using Python, Terraform, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Participate in CI/CD and DevOps practices to streamline deployment processes.
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and security compliance in a regulated financial environment.

 

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong Java Full Stack experience (Spring Framework, functional programming, Lambda expressions).
• Solid experience with Oracle DB and strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and integration tasks.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL, Postgres, Databricks, ADF, and Terraform.

 

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to data engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with Power BI for reporting/visualization.
• Basic understanding of React for front-end development.
